Moss — Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026. Moss is a consumer personal-AI product operated from Cairns, Australia. The full canonical terms render client-side; the summary below covers every section with the binding language.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Moss. You are responsible for compliance with all laws in your jurisdiction.
2. Description of the Service
Moss provides persistent AI memory across conversations — retrieval, abstraction, synthesis — using a server-side orchestrated arsenal of language models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Groq, Perplexity).
3. Accounts and Access
You access Moss via authenticated account (email magic link, Google, or Apple sign-in). You're responsible for keeping your sign-in methods secure.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
Free tier is available without a credit card. Paid tiers (Seed $9, Sprout $25, Grove $49, Thicket $99) are month-to-month and cancellable at any time. Canopy ($249) is enterprise-only via enquiry. Prices include applicable tax.
5. Payment Processing and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. We never store full card numbers. Failed payments may result in temporary downgrade until payment is restored.
6. Your Content and Memory
You retain all rights to content you submit. By using Moss you grant us a limited license to process that content to operate the service. Moss never trains models on your content.
7. AI Output and Reliance
AI responses can be wrong. Verify anything important before acting on it. Moss is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial). You're responsible for how you use AI output.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use Moss to generate content intended to harm, harass, deceive, or infringe rights. No CSAM, no violent extremism, no large-scale impersonation, no automated abuse. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
9. Availability and Support
We aim for high availability but offer no formal uptime SLA on consumer tiers. Support is via email at hello@mossmemory.com.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms or for prolonged inactivity (with notice).
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Moss is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moss's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be heard in courts of competent jurisdiction in Queensland, Australia.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to active users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
